Did you know that I love Hyatt? I know, I know…it’s no secret. 😉 I mean, who could not love their amazing award value, loyalty program, and epic perks?! And one of those perks that you’ll want to know all about is the Hyatt Brand Explorer. So let’s dive into what this is and how to maximize it for free hotel stays!
What is the Brand Explorer?
The Brand Explorer is benefit offered to World of Hyatt members as a way to earn rewards for staying at different Hyatt brands! After staying at 5 unique brands, you will earn a Category 1-4 free night award for a future Hyatt stay. And it’s completely free and the app will track your progress for you! 👏🏻
Down below you can see an example of my Brand Explorer tracker. I have earned 2 awards so far (shown on the right) and my count on my current progress (on the left) has just restarted after staying at my 10th unique brand in December of 2024.
What brands qualify?
One super important thing to know is each brand will only qualify ONCE. Meaning, if you already stated at a Hyatt Place, and that was counted toward your Brand Explorer progress, a future Hyatt Place stay will not count toward another Brand Explorer award. Essentially, only your first stay at each brand will count.
Each and every Hyatt brand can be counted toward your Brand Explorer progress, so you have 32 opportunities to work toward this reward! Down below you can see all of the brands that I have checked off my list so far ✔️ and then I can also plan for which ones I want to hit next.
Where to find your Brand Explorer progress
When logged into your World of Hyatt account, click on your name in the top right hand corner of the screen and select “Account.” From there you will click on “Brand Explorer” on the left hand side of the screen, and BAM 💥, you’ll see all your progress there!
Where to find your award
Once you have earned a free night award from the Brand Explorer, you will find it in your “Awards” tab on that same screen. And keep in mind that these certificates expire after one year, so you’ll want to make sure to use them before they expire!
